As one of the goals of this committee is to educate the community about issues with gender inequality around the world and within our school, we thought it best to launch our Instagram with information on something celebrated not only within our school culture or even our city, but across the globe.
International Women’s Day is a time to celebrate women and girls. It is day about empowerment and acknowledging the progress the world has made, while also pledging to help make a better tomorrow. These are all values that this committee holds close to its heart, and so above we have included information about this awesome day, as well as some more helpful information and resources to kickstart our favourite value of International Women’s Day: helping to make a better tomorrow.
